World Book Day

As part of World Book Day, vouchers are sent to every school child in the UK for a free book; the mission is to give every child and young person a book of their own. It’s also a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCOas a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.

I was so excited to be asked to contribute to the campaign as reading is something that always gives me peace and is an immeasurably valuable part of my life.
